It's a girl!
Everything looked great at my ultrasound today! I am SO happy.
The tech did mention that my placenta was low, which puts me at risk for placenta previa...but because I'm only 20 weeks, chances are good that the placenta will migrate away from the cervix before delivery. Isn't it funny...paranoid me was worried about tons of stuff before the ultrasound, but placenta previa never even crossed my mind. Now I have something new to freak out about. Everything that I read online said that I should take it easy...no sex, strenuous housework or heavy lifting. Poor Ron!

ReplyDeleteI had placenta previa and was banned from sex and strenuous exercise. My placenta did eventually move up, though. Don't worry about it. You have plenty of time for it to correct itself!

ReplyDeleteI've read a lot that people with placenta previa end up having it move on its own. But I wouldn't have sex or do any heavy lifting either just to be safe, of course, I do neither of those anyway now!
CONGRATS on the little girl! How sweet is that?!?!?! I am so happy for you! I can't wait to hear your plans for the nursery and all the FUN stuff with having a girl!
ReplyDeleteI am sure the low placenta will all be fine and that you will end up with a very healthy baby girl! Not too bad though on no strenuous lifting, exercise, or housework - YAY!!!!
